Launched in 2012, the Job Tasting Programme aims to give students hands-on experience and a chance to explore their vocational choices.  To date, around 1,200 students from 57 WeCan schools have benefitted from the opportunities provided by 52 organisations through the Job Tasting Programme.  The number of participating organisations has been growing each year; at the same time the range of industries as well as the type of work have become unprecedentedly diverse this year.

In its 8th edition, the Job Tasting Programme offers job tasting positions from 39 organisations for over 170 students.  All students were required to go through normal recruitment procedures such as application submission, cover letter preparation and interviews, conducted by Senior management from the participating organisations.

In the course of the Programme, each student would be assigned a supervisor to provide support and coaching.  At the end of the Programme, the students’ performance will be assessed for personal development and improvement.  Job Tasting Programme serves as a platform for WeCan students to experience real-life work environment and better understand their career goals and interest.
