100 students from 38 participating schools had a rewarding summer as they joined the Job Tasting Programme this year. With the support from 22 organisations, different job positions were offered, ranging from a wide spectrum of industries, including food and beverage, hotel, aviation, accounting, law, property, retail, customer services and marketing.
Prior to the actual working experience in the workplace, students were required to go through application procedures such as preparing cover letters and CVs for the position that they were interested in. Each applicant was invited to an online interview with the representatives of the organisations.
The Programme not only enhanced students’ practical skills, but also provided an opportunity for them to gain exposure and boost their confidence. Students expressed their heartfelt thanks to their supervisors who guided them throughout the internship journey.
“The experience did not just widen my horizon, but it also allowed me to understand more about myself and on how to pursue my goals and future path”, said one of the students who joined the programme.
