Showcasing Entrepreneurship

The Young Innovators Bazaar 2026 was successfully held at Plaza Hollywood from 13 to 15 March 2026.  The event offered a unique platform for students to demonstrate their creativity, innovation and entrepreneurial drive.  This year, 58 schools from the WeCan network participated, each operating its own booth.  After more than five months of preparation, students finally showcased the results of their hard work in a real shopping mall setting.

The three-day Bazaar began with a Kick-off Ceremony on 13 March.  We were honoured to have Prof. Frederick Ma Si-hang, GBS, JP, Chairman of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council as our officiating guests.  In his speech, Prof. Ma praised the Bazaar for giving students invaluable hands-on business exposure and for playing a key role in nurturing Hong Kong’s next generation of entrepreneur.

From School Bag to Shopping Bag – A Real Business Experience

The experience covered the full cycle of running a business: developing ideas, writing business plans, designing products, coordinating with vendors, crafting promotion strategies, and directly engaging with customers.  This allowed students to apply their classroom knowledge in a practical, real-world context.  Many participants shared that the soft skills and confidence they gained were the most valuable parts of the experience.

The Young Innovators Bazaar 2026 gave students the opportunity to interact with real customers and be fully responsible for their own business.  These experiences motivated them to continuously learn and grow.  Special thanks to all partners, teachers and customers who supported our young entrepreneurs.  Thank you for giving them this unforgettable experience.
