Shun Tak Group arranged a visit for 25 students and teachers from Lingnan Secondary School to the Hong Kong SkyCity Marriott Hotel on 10 May 2024.  These students, who studied Tourism and Hospitality Studies, found the visit eye-opening and provided them with invaluable insights into the hotel industry.

Students had a chance to explore different types of guest rooms, including Deluxe Connecting Rooms and Vice-Presidential Suites.  The Housekeeping Supervisor led a practical session where students learnt the skills of bed-making and the importance of paying attention to detail.  Furthermore, the Supervisor from the Food and Beverage Department also taught them table setting etiquette, and how to enhance the dining experience for patrons.

The Director of Guest Services then gave an overview of the hotel’s operations and organisational structure.  Students gained a deeper understanding of how different departments collaborate.  They were inspired by the professionalism and dedication of the hotel staff and expressed a keen interest in working in the hotel industry after they graduate.  We would like to thank Shun Tak Group for providing this valuable experience for the students.
