Project WeCan and the South China Morning Post jointly launched a pilot English writing programme in 2020/21. Following its success, Write! WeCan English Programme was officially launched in 2021/22. Within four years, over 1,400 students have learnt from experienced tutors on how to structure their writings and better express their ideas with vocabularies and phrases, as well as essential comprehension and communication skills in English.
With the overarching goal of cultivating students’ interest in English learning, the programme has evolved into the English! WeCan Programme in 2024/25. This revamped initiative is designed to enhance students’ overall English proficiency, encompassing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.
