With the generous support of Wharf, over 100 students from 14 WeCan schools had the opportunity to visit China’s first domestically built Antarctic research icebreaker Xuelong 2 and take part in related events held from 8-10 April 2024.  Through visiting the polar research vessel and participating in the Xuelong 2024 Cultural Gala and Xuelong 2 Scientists Meet HK Students events, the students gained a deeper understanding of Xuelong 2’s mission and had the opportunity to directly interact with the scientists.  The experience ignited students’ curiosity about the nation’s scientific research achievements and their keen interest in science and research.
