To enhance students’ understanding of the operations of Mainland Chinese companies, the Hong Kong Electrical Contractors’ Association (HKECA) arranged a one-day visit to Mainland Chinese enterprises for all S4 students from its partner school, Buddhist Tai Kwong Chi Hong College, on 10 May 2024.  This visit provided students with the opportunity to broaden their horizons and explore a wider range of career options for their future.

More than 100 S4 students visited two companies: 3Tech Power (Dongguan) Company Limited and Dongguan Keystone Electric Wire & Cable Company Limited.  By understanding the factory operations and listening to introductions from the staff, students learned about the working environment, corporate culture, job requirements, and essential skills needed in Mainland Chinese companies.  This visit also deepened students’ understanding and sparked their interest in the electrical engineering industry.  We would like to express our gratitude to the HKECA for making this programme possible.
