Project WeCan and SCMP collaborated again to organise the Write! WeCan English Programme in 2023/24 school year, with the participation of over 450 students from 60 schools. The programme aims to enhance their English language skills and cultivate their interest in writing and research.

To cater to students with varying levels of English proficiency, the programme offered different instructional levels focusing on various aspects of language and communication, such as grammar, vocabulary, research, and writing for different purposes.  This approach enabled students to enhance their English proficiency and develop confidence in expressing themselves creatively and effectively.

A special extension programme – Becoming A Writer, providing selected students with the opportunity to write their own interview articles and experience the role of a reporter.  The skills acquired in the programme contribute not only to the students’ academic success but also to future career development.
