Stepping into its tenth year, Shape Our Future: WeCan! – Career Exploration Day 2024/25 engaged more than 7,000 students, helping them explore their career interests and future professions.
The two rounds of Career Exploration Day on 18 January and 28 June 2025 featured a diverse showcase of industries, such as real estate, hospitality, engineering, banking and public administration. The newly introduced Career Discovery Zone enabled students to explore different industries and grasp the latest workplace trends through interactive booths, while Job Tasters provided students with hands-on exposure to various job roles. Industry professionals conducted workshops focusing on essential career skills, including job search strategies, interview techniques, and effective workplace communication.
It was our honour to have Mr Siu Chak-yee, PDSM, PMSM, Commissioner of Police, to kick-off the event in January. Mr Siu shared his career journey with the students, highlighting the significance of dedication and perseverance in both their lives and careers. He encouraged students to view adversity as a valuable life experience and face it with courage, and to strive diligently towards their goals.
We extend our gratitude to the generous support of 60 organisations and WeCan partners across various sectors. Their invaluable support provided students with industry exposure, helping them identify their strengths and interests while preparing for higher education and future career paths.
