This year, Project WeCan has joined hands with Hong Kong Youth Arts Foundation to launch Art! WeCan, an art education programme comprises 2 components – “Artist-in-Residence” and “Art Appreciation cum Workshops”.

Starting in March, 13 WeCan schools welcomed artists into their campus to work with students in different art forms and ideas.  Students are encouraged to express themselves through art, and acquire art skills throughout the sessions led by the artists.  The artworks created during this course will be exhibited in Plaza Hollywood from 22 to 30 June 2023.

During the exhibition, other WeCan schools are also invited to join the “Art Appreciation cum Workshops”, where students can have an understanding of the inspiration and ideas of which the artworks come from, and to get hands-on experience in expressing their own ideas by creating their own art pieces at the workshops.

By launching this art education programme, Project WeCan aims to empower students to unleash their potential, to shape their own future, and to believe “Yes, WeCan”!
