Empowering students to become entrepreneurs
More than 1,500 students from 63 schools participated in the Young Innovators Bazaar 2023 held from 21 to 23 April at Plaza Hollywood. It was a remarkable experience and a unique opportunity for students to showcase their creativity and innovation, as well as to develop their entrepreneurial skills. The skills and knowledge gained from this programme will undoubtedly be invaluable to the students in their future pursuits.
Unwavering Support from WeCan Partners
We are grateful for the support and commitment of our WeCan partners, principals, teachers, parents, volunteers, and the public who showed their support to the students, thus contributing to the success of the Young Innovators Bazaar 2023. We were also honoured to have the Honourable Paul Chan Mo-po, GBM, GBS, MH, JP, Financial Secretary of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region to officiate at the Kick-off Ceremony with Mr Stephen Ng, Committee Chairman of Project WeCan Foundation and our valued partners. Their presence was an inspiration to the young entrepreneurs.
Awards to Recognize Students’ Achievements and Efforts
At the Bazaar, students had the opportunity to showcase a wide range of skills, including leadership, entrepreneurship, project management, communication, marketing and sales. This year, we introduced a new award titled “Excellence in Sustainability” to encourage students to adopt more sustainable practices in their preparations for the Bazaar. It was a great pleasure to have recognised and celebrated the achievements of deserving students by presenting awards to them. We are most grateful to the WeCan partners’ representatives who generously volunteered their time to serve as judges for these awards.
