As a committed partner to Buddhist Tai Kwong Chi Hong College, the Hong Kong Electric Contractors Association (HKECA) organised three partnership programmes for the school to provide students with valuable insights into different industries and career paths.

Between March and April 2023, two visits were organised for students to gain an insider’s view of the companies and the various job opportunities at MTR Corporation and The Hong Kong and China Gas Company Limited (Towngas).  The two groups of students had the opportunity to visit MTR Kowloon Bay Depot and the headquarters of Towngas to learn about the different career paths available to them and the skills and qualifications required for various roles.

Volunteers from HKECA also conducted a plug wiring workshop for 15 junior students on 7 July 2023.  The workshop provided students with hands-on experience to wire a plug safely and correctly as well as industry insights and outlooks for those interested in pursuing a career as electricians.

We thank HKECA for organising these informative programmes, which offered students of Buddhist Tai Kwong Chi Hong College a better understanding of the professional world and the various career opportunities that lie before them.
